In a new achievement added to its impressive track record, and as a reinforcement of its strategic directions in energy management and green mobility, RAKTA has obtained ISO 50001:2018 in the Energy Management System.
H.E Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al-Blooshi, the Director General of RAKTA, and a member of the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Committee in Ras Al Khaimah, stated: “This achievement comes in line with the Year of Sustainability 2023 and the country’s hosting of COP28, and in fulfillment of the vision and directions of the Ras Al Khaimah government to solidify the Emirate’s position in the field of energy management. RAKTA implements a comprehensive energy consumption system that is developed in accordance with its Energy Strategy 2023-2030.
He also emphasized that the attainment of this certification highlights the efforts undertaken by RAKTA to enhance energy efficiency by developing comprehensive plans to improve energy performance across various transportation systems, facilities, and buildings. Additionally, this includes enhancing a set of guiding requirements that encompass goal setting, implementation, leadership, commitment, monitoring and measurement processes, outcomes, communication and reporting mechanisms, transparency, and continuous improvement.
