RAK Transport Authority (RAKTA) has implemented workshops for all schools and operators of school transport activity. This is in order to raise awareness of the practicing school transport activity requirements in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. During the workshops, the most important technical requirements for practicing the activity were discussed, and it also included introducing the precautionary measures to confront COVID19 pandemic to ensure the highest levels of student’s health and safety. The workshops coincided with the issuance of Emiri Decree No. 16 of 2020 regarding the organization of the school transport sector.
H.E Eng. Esmaeel Al Blooshi – General Manager of RAKTA welcomed the attendees, and pointed out that the Authority has been striving to achieve the highest levels of transportation services since its establishment to meet all segments of society in accordance with the highest international standards and to achieve its vision (Pioneering in regulating the transportation sector and ensuring the provision of safe, reliable and smart transportation services).
