Within the framework of cooperation between government departments in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, Rak Transport Authority (RAKTA) held a coordination meeting with the Department of Economic Development (DED). The meeting discussed several axes of mutual interest to simplify and improve the procedures for issuing transport activities licenses in order to attract and encourage investors in the emirate.
H.E Eng. Esmaeel Al Blooshi, General Manager of RAKTA, stated that transport activities licensing is based on organizing sectors to ensure the provision of safe, reliable, and smart transport services to all groups of society. In addition to preserving investors rights in the emirate.
H.E Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Shayeb – General Manager of DED added that the department seeks to achieve integration with the concerned authorities in the emirate to simplify the procedures of issuing and renewing commercial licenses. Also, the department recently launched an automatic renewal service for commercial licenses as part of the government accelerator initiative, to simplify procedures, attract and motivate investors.
The attendees also reviewed Emiri Decree No. (16) of 2020 regarding the regulation of the school transport sector in Ras Al Khaimah and ways of joint cooperation to implement the decree provisions in order to achieve life quality for citizens and residents of the Emirate.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Raed Hamdan – Policies and Regulations Manager, Mr. Sultan Al Zaabi – Manager of the Customer Happiness Center, and Mr. Naji Saleh – Administrative Assistant from RAKTA. Mr. Mohamed Al Mahmoud – Assistant of General Manager, and Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim – Legal Expert from DED.
