Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) held its first meeting with its strategic partners from various economic and service sectors, which operate in partnership with RAKTA and contribute to providing services to the public from various segments of society. The meeting aimed to expand communication between RAKTA and its partners to strengthen and enhance the bonds of mutual cooperation and emphasize collective work to achieve joint initiatives and projects to contribute to achieving the directives of the wise government in the public interest and enhancing the services provided to the public.
RAKTA hosted H.E Dr. Abdulrahman Al Shayeb, Director General of the Economic Development Department, H.E Eng. Khalid Fadl Al Ali, Director General of the Public Services Department, H.E Ms. Najwa Yaqoub, Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Statistics Center, and Eng. Aisha Saif Al Khanbouli, Director of the Geographic Information Systems Center at the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality.
RAKTA presented several important topics to enhance joint work, including its 2023-2027 strategic plan and its comprehensive transportation plan for Ras Al Khaimah 2023-2030, and future transportation infrastructure projects in the Emirate. RAKTA also showcased a video highlighting its achievements during 2023, which included statistics and results of transportation in the Emirate, executed projects, and local and international awards received by RAKTA.
The meeting also included a review of joint service projects implemented in collaboration with strategic partners, such as transportation infrastructure planning and preparation projects, electronic linkage operations for licensing systems, integration with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) systems, as well as joint urban planning projects. The meeting also included a tour of several vital facilities in RAKTA and an overview of modern smart services and technologies, including the Smart Control and Monitoring Center, accessing RAKTA services via hologram technology, and visiting the Smart Training Center.
At the end of the meeting, H.E Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi, Director General of RAKTA, expressed his happiness and appreciation for the continuous efforts and support provided by the strategic partners. He also highlighted the importance of these meetings in consolidating a culture of dialogue and cooperation among different entities as an essential part of achieving the vision of the Ras Al Khaimah Government 2030 and providing an effective channel for communication and building to achieve common goals.
